The blog where Tod McCoy blogs

Kicking it into gear

Oh look, I have a follower! (Waves at Neyska.)
It’s recently been impressed upon me the importance of maintaining a blog, and so I shall strive to make time in the busy schedule to write something every week.
What’s happening? Norwescon is coming up this weekend, the largest of the Pacific Northwest literary scifi and fantasy cons. Lots of literati celebre in town this weekend. I’m going to try and make Hydra House displayed prominently, if I can. KC Ball will be reading Friday night at 7:00 and will be manning a table in the small press room. KC will also be signing autographs in the autograph room at 2:00 on Saturday. That should be exciting!
In other news, Hydra House announced two new collections to be issued later this year: “Near+Far” by Cat Rambo, and “The Twelve Days of Christmas” by Sandra Odell. It’s kind of weird planning for Christmas at Easter.

Clarion West 2011, end of week four

Off to the Clarion West party tonight! Week four. Last year at this time, my class was recoiling from the amazing Graham Joyce. He, more than any other Englishman, made me want to say I’m from Coventry. Just so I could say CO-ventry in that deep, booming accent. Maybe I can have my larynx altered.

This week, the class had Minister Faust, whom I heard read on Tuesday night. Also a fabulous personality and a very talented writer.

Now, if we could only get some damn sunshine!

Welcome to the blog!

I’m still in the process of setting this up. But in the meantime, you might check out what I’ve written at my other blog, Mercenary Robot (mercenaryrobot.wordpress.com). Good stuff there.

It occurs to me that I should just call this a “blahg.” Because most blogs are blah, blah, blah. A blahwg. Blerg, in the words of Tina Fey.
